Q: Where and when will Crash Course be held?
A: Crash Course will take place at East Dover Baptist Church in Toms River, NJ. Mondays & Wednesdays 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM, July 7th - August 2nd. The final showcase will be held at The Green Room 42 in NYC at 1 PM on August 2nd.
Q: Does my child need prior theatre experience to participate?
A: No prior experience is required! Crash Course is designed to meet students where they are. Whether your child is just discovering a love for performing or has years of experience, they’ll have the opportunity to train together in masterclass style lessons, and will also at times be placed in small groups and receive personalized coaching based on factors like their skill level and age.
Q: Do I have to provide transportation?
A: Yes, parents/guardians must provide transportation to and from all Crash Course events, both in NJ as well as the final showcase in NYC.
Q: Will my child be supervised at all times?
A: Yes. Students are supervised by teaching artists and camp staff at all times during the program. All staff members are trained in safety protocols, and we maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure individualized attention and a safe learning environment.
Q: What to wear?
A: We recommend students wear stretchable, comfortable clothing such as workout attire or sweatpants. Students will be engaging in movement activities. Please refrain from wearing jeans as they are not conducive to movement activities. Attire for the final showcase will be decided at a later date.
Q: Is lunch provided?
A: No, Crash Course will not be providing lunch. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to send their student to camp with a packed lunch.
